You will support the management of frontline areas, including Information Desks and the Surgical Waiting Area. The position involves greeting and checking in patients and visitors, providing directions, and assisting with information related to clinic locations and outpatient appointments. Staff members manage visitor check-ins using PassagePoint and Care Connect systems, ensure compliance with visitor management security protocols, and provide wheelchairs or other assistance as needed.
In Maddie’s Room, responsibilities include checking in visitors, assigning seating, and providing timely and confidential updates to family members. Staff proactively address visitor inquiries, maintain cleanliness, promote the use of physician consultation rooms, and ensure the area is used appropriately. The position also involves documenting visitor updates on the status board and tactfully managing visitor and employee conduct in the waiting area.
Additional duties include maintaining a sanitized and organized workstation, conducting environmental rounds, ensuring supply stations are stocked, and managing lost and found items in line with established policies. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, proactive problem-solving, and participation in the training of staff and volunteers. Administrative support to the Hospitality Services supervisor and other duties as assigned are also part of this dynamic role.

"as needed" per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary.

Salary Range: $29.42-42.14/hour

Excellent customer service skills with a helpful, patient, and proactive approach.
Strong problem-solving, active listening, and de-escalation techniques.
Ability to collect feedback, analyze data, and create reports for leadership.
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Strong written communication for professional correspondence.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, including answering multiple phone lines and assisting with patient family updates.
Adaptability to provide support across different departments and functions.
Standing and walking for 6.5+ hours per shift, often continuously.
Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Experience working with volunteers in surgical and recovery areas.
