Reporting to the Central Scheduling Supervisor, this position accepts incoming calls, schedules patient appointments in various divisions, and utilizes appropriate scheduling system and software according to procedure type, knowledge of protocols, privileges, and block time, when appropriate. This position also initiates the billing processes by collecting, entering, and verifying pertinent patient data and insurance information.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience

• Two years of experience in scheduling/billing of procedures. (Required)
• Hospital or healthcare experience. (Preferred)

Special Skills

• Strong skills in computer database systems. (Required)
• Follow any payer or governmental requirement as required by the organization. (Required)
