The Structural Heart Program Coordinatorimplements the policies, procedures, protocols, and standards for the structural heart program. The coordinator oversees the operations of the structural heart program and communicates with the structural heart team. This person is responsible for advisement of operational status, programmatic concerns, and drives project management aligning with organizational goals. The Structural Heart Program Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical leadership, expertise, collaboration, consultation, and mentorship to promote evidence-based practice. They work in collaboration with the structural heart team to achieve optimal standards of care with measurable identified outcomes.
The Structural Heart Program Coordinator participates in program development, planning, implementation of appropriate patient care, presentation, and education. They are responsible for the delivery of patient care regarding structural heart through the process of assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, recognition, and prevention of adverse events. The coordinator will perform responsibilities in four areas of practice:clinician, teacher, leader, and professional development. They collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, efficient patient care delivery while achieving desired patient outcomes. They will continuously monitor quality patient care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement while providing leadership in the practice location.
Position Description:
- Located at HealthPark Medical Center - 9981 So HealthPark CircleFort Myers FL 33908
- Caring for urgent patients, often in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
- May practice in multiple places of service, e.g., has outpatient and inpatient responsibilities;May perform OR procedures
- May cover practice call and work evenings/weekends
- EPIC EHR and Dragon Dictation for both inpatient and outpatient settings
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
- Experience: 3 Years Cardiology APP experience required, CT Surgery, Interventional, or Structural experience preferred.
- Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required ACLS may be required as identified/area of specialty.
- License: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License Required in the State of Florida
- Other: Must meet credentialing requirements as established by the LMHS Medical Staff Services department. Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
