Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Pulmonary Physician to join The Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Staten Island University Hospital, a teaching hospital of the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of pulmonary medicine.
The Department of Pediatrics has a 20-bed in-patient unit with close to 2,000 discharges per year, a 4-bed PICU, and a state-designated level III NICU. There are 3,000 annual newborn deliveries, 10,000 ambulatory faculty practice visits, and 20,000 pediatric emergency department visits.
Our team consists of two full-time pulmonologists, a pulmonology nurse, and a nurse educator.
Responsibilities include patient care, supervision of residents and medical students, and participation in clinical research. There is an 8-bed accredited Sleep Center, an Asthma Center, a PFT lab and a bronchoscopy suite. Faculty enjoy access to the academic and research resources of the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
