The WJB Dorn Columbia, SC, Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Otolaryngologist to join our team.
- The incumbent is accountable to the Chief of Surgery, for assuring the most effective delivery of care in the ENT inpatient and outpatient setting while meeting or exceeding compliance standards.
- Participates in all aspects of a general Otolaryngology program, to include clinical, administrative, academic, and research components if warranted.
- The incumbent is responsible for the structure and details of physician-rounding schedules and after-hours coverage systems relevant to the care of the surgical patient.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program up to $200k.

Pay: Up to $400k p/year, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting, VA contributes 16.6% to pension ) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: up to $1000 p/year
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - some occasions may require work outside of this core schedule as this is a 24/7 hospital facility. Subject to change based on agency needs.
