The community you’ll be caring for:

The role you’ll contribute:
Assists patients with menu selection. Contributes with problem resolution including follow up with patient and family.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
• May assemble and deliver trays per therapeutic diet guidelines, and the established presentation standards. Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Delivers food carts to patient care units. Returns carts to kitchen as designated times.
• Operates dishwashing machine. Washes specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives. Puts clean dishes and utensils away.
• Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner and as needed.
• Mops floors as scheduled and as necessary.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned such as walk-in refrigerators, walk-in freezers and storage areas.
• May work all positions on the tray line or retail areas. May prepare/assemble hot/cold food (salads, sandwiches, desserts) and nourishments for tray line, patients and retail areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
·Ability to communicate with others in an effective manner that facilitates problem solving, interacts in a courteous, respectful, and helpful manner.
·Ability to explain nutrition related queries and have sound understanding of all the related terms.
·May coordinate with the dietician on the diet needs.
·Good listening skills and communication skills
·Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms.
·Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·Have the ability to utilize FIFO method and label and date food correctly.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·High School Education or equivalent.
·One year of technical experience.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
·May be required to obtain and maintain state specific certifications.
