Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ only academic center and tertiary care provider and home to Baystate Medical Center, is seeking an experienced Neonatal Advanced Practitioner to join our organization.
Position Highlights
Join our team of 10 NICU NNPs and PAs and 7 neonatologists in the region’s only Level III NICU at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield MA.
Top-notch evidence-based care is our highest priority as we manage the daily care of high-risk infants in both our NICU and Continuing Care Nursery. Our APPs attend deliveries and participate in patient transports. We utilize advanced modes of respiratory support including bubble CPAP, NIMV, CMV, HFOV, HFJV, and inhaled nitric oxide.
Our care team includes respiratory therapists, dietician, pharmacist, occupational therapist, social worker, and case management/discharge planner. Outstanding specialty support is available onsite at Baystate Children’s Hospital.
Opportunity to be engaged in clinical and QI research, as well as involved in the medical education of resident physicians, medical students and APP students.
Shifts are 12 or 24 hour shifts with rotating days/nights/weekends split evenly across the team.
Full time, part time and per diem roles are available.

Qualifications: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, experience in a level III NICU is preferred. A strong commitment to collaboration, quality and lifelong learning is essential.
