Job Summary:

Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results. Assist in general laboratory operation (including assistance managing our mouse colony) and inventory.

The Crawford lab studies how inflammatory injury during development alters critical biologic processes leading to short- and long-term deficits in lung structure and function. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team with the primary role of providing technical support for laboratory research projects. Strong candidates will be able to design, perform, and troubleshoot common benchtop assays (including PCR, immunostaining, Western blotting, and/or flow cytometry) and have experience working with in-vitro cultures and live mice (to assist with colony management and sample collection/preparation). In addition, you will work with others to perform experiments and assist in general laboratory operations. Excellent organization skills and record keeping are a must.

A bachelor's degree is required for this position. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in a research laboratory and/or a strong academic foundation in biology.
