Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The part-time Research Intern position works with an Infectious Disease Sciences faculty member and their team to support and learn about research in mathematical modeling and clinical trial simulation.

Responsibilities

• Perform literature reviews
• Collaborate with investigators and coworkers to ensure completion of research activities
• Author review article on clinical trial simulation

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled at academic institution
• Computer experience including MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
• Excellent written and communication skills, attention to detail, high-level organization, and the flexibility to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $26.22 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 11 days per year).
