Job duties include the following:
- Be able to perform diagnostic testing, including comprehensive audiologic assessment for primarily adult patients as well as pediatric patients. Expertise in the administration of pure tone audiometry, immittance testing (tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, otoacoustic emission testing) and ability to interpret and counsel results with patients.
- Interdisciplinary communication with physicians to communicate test results and recommendations to our patients.
- Schedule, perform & interpret testing including ABR, VNG, OAE.
- Experience with the evaluation for, selection of, fitting and maintenance of amplification. Our practice fits all major manufacturers with familiarity with Phonak, Unitron, Oticon and ReSound being preferable.
- Previous clinical experience with the evaluation for, selection of, fitting and maintenance of osseo-integrated devices and cochlear implants. Our practice has two neurotologists and we continue to have a growing need for a provider who is interested in facilitating the development of our cochlear implant/BAHA program.
- Ability to maintain clear and uniform clinical records, and the ability to work with other members of the department.
- Communicating with patients, scheduling of patients, dispensing hearing aids, programming & repairing of hearing aids, and training assistants to support our department.
Facility information:
- Our practice has three locations: Orland Park, Oak Lawn, and a satellite office in Lemont. The candidate would be expected to work at any/all locations and have scheduling flexibility should physician schedules change.
- Work schedule would be fully in-person Weekdays including some evenings.
- Weekend coverage as needed (currently only Saturday mornings, not every week)
Compensation:
- Salary based on experience.
