The Health Information Specialist, Document Imaging maintains the integrity of the scanned record with knowledge and general understanding of workflows between Epic and WakeMed's document management solution. Identifies forms missing patient identification and takes appropriate action. Responsible for picking up paper documentation for in-house patients from all nursing units, scanning, indexing and archiving all prepared or faxed medical records. Maintains daily workflow, ensuring records are scanned and archived in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Responds to requests for release of information as needed for departmental coverage. This is a Hybrid Remote position and for coverage needs, if needed, will cover all HIM Departments within system.
