The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Palm Coast, 60 Medical Memorial Pkwy, 32164
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health-system by preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems to assure patients safety, improve patients' satisfaction, optimize patients' outcome and minimize cost. Works in the main Pharmacy, as well as in patient care areas. Will perform all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interaction with the healthcare team, patients' involvement, and technician supervision
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in Standard work parameters, Operational programs, Dispensing and compounding systems, Hospital computer systems, Medication ordering systems
- Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by Central Pharmacy, IV Room AND MAY REQUIRE (at least two of the following): Oncology Pharmacy Satellite, Operating Room Satellite, CVICU Pharmacy Satellite
- Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
- Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and dispensing of patientspecific medication doses
- Completes critical medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, and patient monitoring to identify, prevent, or mitigate medication-related problems
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree
- State Pharmacy License
Preferred qualifications:
- PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
