Preferred Experience

• C.N.A Certification or Training, PCT Training, or EMT Training
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast paced healthcare environment.
• Enrolled in a nursing program with 1 or more years until graduation.

Job Overview

A Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient care and other duties under the supervision of a licensed nurse or other medical staff.

What can you expect to do as a PCT?

• Collect and record patient Data, record vital signs and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL)
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds
• Assist with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharges.
• Taking care of patient personal hygiene and assist with patient clean up.
• Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures.

• Communication - Clear communication with patients and staff, both verbally and in writing.

• Teamwork - The ability to work with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and physicians, is the key to provide better patient care.

Qualifications

• Education - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Experience - Less than 1 year of experience
• Certifications/License/Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): or BLS within 30 days of hire
