Medical Technician
This position serves as a Medical Technician in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. The position will provide assistance to Medical Technologists, Supervisors and Managers in performing specimen collection, examination, receipt, processing and shipment procedures as well as phlebotomy in an inpatient and outpatient setting. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-5 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
