In this role, you will be an integral member of the Molecular Pathology group in the Companion Diagnostics division of Labcorp. The job will include chromogenic and multiplex fluorescent IHC, digital pathology slide scanning and image analysis, and advanced technologies in combining tissue staining with molecular biology downstream analyses.

This role will be based in our Morrisville, NC laboratory.

?    Use standard histological techniques including thin sectioning using a microtome, and routine H&E and IHC staining using automated stainers.
?    Support development of novel chromogenic and multiplex fluorescent IHC assays. 
?    Contribute toward maintenance of laboratory in a regulated environment. 
?    Demonstrate technical project leadership for internal and external stakeholders.

What we?re looking for 

Immunohistochemistry Scientist are the most successful at Labcorp with: 

Required Education & Experience:

?    Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in relevant scientific discipline preferred
?    5+ years hands-on experience working in immunohistochemistry laboratory.
?    Demonstrated expertise with thin sectioning using a microtome.
?    Demonstrated expertise with IHC autostainers.
?    Demonstrated excellent organization skills suitable for technical project leadership for internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

?    Advanced degree in relevant field.
?    Experience with multiplex IHC/IF.
?    Experience in digital pathology analysis (e.g. Visiopharm, HALO, inForm).
?    Experience with spatial transcriptomics platforms (e.g. Nanostring, 10x Genomics)
?    Experience in a Regulated laboratory (e.g. IVD product development).
