SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As the first point of contact, the IS Service Desk provides technology solutions and support, while maintaining a friendly experience for customers. In this entry-level position, the Support Specialist will remotely diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to user accounts, VPN, remote access portal, hardware and software support and installation. The Support Specialist assists with special projects, creates and maintains knowledge articles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Provide field support and problem resolution for personal computers, standard software applications, and networks. Work with other operational areas to ensure the effective and integrated delivery of information technology services as required for routine operations.
Participate as team member. Lead single small project.
Responsible and accountable to comply with cyber security policies, standards, and processes in accordance with the Enterprise Cyber Security Program Plan.
Formally document, design, manage, and/or operate in accordance with cyber security requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Associate?s degree or equivalent experience required.
One (1) year of related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
At least 2-3 years? experience troubleshooting PC related hardware, software and network issues
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Ability to actively listen, ask probing questions and create detailed incident tickets
Ability to remain calm and demonstrate service excellence while working in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights and weekends
