BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time MLT II (Reg) on Day Shift for our Missouri Baptist Medical Center Microbiology Dept (3015 N. Ballas Rd, St. Louis, MO, 63131)

Position Details:
- Microbiology Position
- Day Shift – 6:30am -3:00pm (Options for 10s or 12s hour shifts)- with Weekend/ Holiday Rotation
- Full-Time - 40 Hours per Week
- Setting up rapid testing, PCR, running quality control, reading culture plates, performing mass spec identification, performing susceptibility testing
- Lab has multiple tech led committees in the lab with great opportunity to train and mentor clinical students
- Vitek, Bruker, Kiestra, Biofire, Cepheid
Experience:
- Microbiology experience (preferred)
- Lab experience (preferred)
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Physical/Life Sciences or related field \
- ASCP, AMT, or AAB Registration

Role Purpose
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) II (REG) performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice
