Christian Hospital has a progressive pharmacy that offers many professionally challenging opportunities to impact patient care. The pharmacy services both Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare. The pharmacy staff oversee cutting edge automation in medication distribution systems. Our pharmacists provide clinical services including participation in patient rounds, nutritional therapy services, screening patients daily for change in renal functions and adjusting the dosage accordingly. The pharmacists work in a team-structured environment with other healthcare professionals 24 hours a day.

Role Purpose
The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, prepares medication orders, and assists in dispensing & transporting medications. This position also conducts sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, uses various automated/electronic systems and maintains the required documentation & records.
Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
