Education Specialist, RN - Birth & Family Education
OverviewResponsible for instructing the pregnant family about the perinatal period. Instruction is given primarily in Childbirth Education Classes. In addition, the Perinatal Education Specialist conducts infant care classes and inpatient antepartum education on The Women's Pavilion and Birthplace unit and participates in other department related efforts and events. The Perinatal Education Specialist, RN has clinical experience in the care of pregnant, postpartum, or newborn patients. In addition to teaching classes, the education specialist may conduct tours of the Women's Pavilion at each campus and facilitate support groups. Department Description
