Are you passionate about animal welfare and skilled in anesthetic drug knowledge? We're looking for a dedicated individual to join our surgery support team. If you thrive in both team settings and independently, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
How you will be rewarded:
Pay range: $24/hr.-$25/hr.
Work Hours: 1st shift - M-F 6:30am-3:15pm for the first three months (After 3 months, shifts are flexible, including options for a 4 day a week/ 10 hour per day schedule).

What you will be doing:
Ensure animals are cared for according to regulatory guidelines and ethical principles.
Perform animal husbandry duties as needed.
Report and resolve animal care concerns.
Interpret and understand complex protocols.
Adhere to good research practices (GXP) principles.
Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with protocols and regulations.
Perform various medical procedures on multiple species.
Conduct aseptic surgical preparation, anesthesia, and surgical procedures.
Support other departments with study-related tasks.
Train and mentor staff.
Contribute to process improvements and updates.
Review SOPs and develop new procedures.
Identify and communicate gaps for potential improvements.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
1 year of relevant experience.
Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology, or Veterinary Technology.

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of applicable experience.
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.
AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) level.
