Schedule:Full Time, Monday - Friday w/ rotating weekends
Responsible for preparation of quality food for patients, associates and customers using standardized Morrison recipes and production sheets. Other responsibilities may include tray assembly, distribution and service, general sanitation, cleaning and use of kitchen equipment.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Prepares patient and retail menu items on production sheets, in accordance with forecasted and/or tallied quantities, following established recipes at all times.
· Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards. Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
· Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use
· Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
· Assists Production Manager in taking inventory as necessary.
· Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
· Recommends to Production Manager proper utilization of leftover food products.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Able to communicate in English. · Good oral communication skills. · Excellent customer service skills. · Ability to perform basic math functions. · · High school diploma or GED · Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health care food service or restaurants in food production. · Creativity in food preparation and service. · Basic knowledge of modified diets preferred. · Flexibility in scheduling of hours. · May be required to work overtime; weekends and holidays. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: · Culinary degree preferable.
