The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services directed to the general patient population at Florida Hospital Tampa.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provide clinical pharmacy services, including primary and consultative services, to health care providers and patients to ensure optimal drug utilization in assigned specialty area(s).
Assist in the planning and development of clinical pharmacy activities related to specialty area(s).
Participate in clinical research as assigned.
Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and parenteral admixtures in accordance with established Federal and State regulations and accreditation standards.
Effectively verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
Provide education and training to pharmacy students, medical staff physicians and nurses, and healthcare-related professionals.
Prioritize level of care based on critical needs.
Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds and communicate follow-up with clinical team.
Prevent, detect, and resolve medication-related problems and to make appropriate evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy recommendations as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor’s of Pharmacy.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) Board Certification
Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Florida.
PGY2 in Pediatrics or 5yrs of equivalent experience (STRONGLY PERFERRED)
