The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services directed to the general patient population at Florida Hospital Tampa.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including primary and consultative services, to health care providers and patients to ensure optimal drug utilization in assigned specialty area(s).
- Assist in the planning and development of clinical pharmacy activities related to specialty area(s).
- Participate in clinical research as assigned.
- Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and parenteral admixtures in accordance with established Federal and State regulations and accreditation standards.
- Effectively verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
- Provide education and training to pharmacy students, medical staff physicians and nurses, and healthcare-related professionals.
- Prioritize level of care based on critical needs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds and communicate follow-up with clinical team.
- Prevent, detect, and resolve medication-related problems and to make appropriate evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy recommendations as part of the interdisciplinary team.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor’s of Pharmacy.
- American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) Board Certification
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Florida.
- PGY2 in Pediatrics or 5yrs of equivalent experience (STRONGLY PERFERRED)
