Manager, Patient Transport

The Manager, Patient Transport, plays a vital role in ensuring that our patients experience seamless, efficient, and compassionate transport services, which are integral to their care journey. In this leadership position, you will guide a team of professionals, driving operational excellence while upholding MSK's values of patient-centered care, integrity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the transport services strategy, ensuring alignment with MSK's broader goals and the needs of patient care.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance operational strategies that improve patient flow, minimize delays, and support superior care delivery.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the timely and efficient transport of patients across MSK's facilities.
- Monitor and optimize processes for operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Use data-driven approaches to continuously assess performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth, engagement, and high performance.
Quality Improvement and Innovation
- Champion MSK's commitment to quality by ensuring compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and MSK's operational best practices.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement programs to enhance patient experience and service delivery.
Financial Stewardship
- Manage the transport services budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with MSK's broader financial goals.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising the quality of patient care or operational efficiency.
Key Qualifications and Core Skills:
Experience -
- 4-7 years of supervisory experience, ideally in a healthcare setting, with a focus on operations management and patient services.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize large-scale operations with a focus on process improvement and team leadership.
Core Skills -
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to align transport services with MSK's mission and goals, driving measurable outcomes in operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of transport logistics and healthcare operations.
- Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Data-Driven Decision Maker: Ability to use data to guide decisions, assess performance, and drive improvements.
- Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
Additional Information:
- Location: MSK's Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, NYC.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Reports to: Vice President, Support Services
- Pay Range: $88,800 - $142,200 annually
