Position Overview: We invite applications for a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor in our Audiology Department. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical audiology services, mentor Au.D. students, and contribute to a culture of patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of audiological services, including:
  • Hearing evaluations (pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions)
  • Patient and family counseling on audiometric results and recommendations
  • Hearing aid services: evaluation, fitting, counseling, dispensing, and repairs
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists and resources as needed
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
• Supervise and educate Au.D. students, ensuring high standards of clinical competency
• Teach courses within the Au.D. program as agreed upon
• Collaborate with the Clinic Director and program leadership to:
  • Implement and uphold student education policies
  • Develop patient service protocols
  • Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives
  • Engage in faculty meetings and contribute to program development

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology, or a master's degree with equivalent experience prior to the Au.D. implementation
• Clinical experience with a patient-centered, evidence-based approach
• Current California Audiologist license or eligibility to obtain one within three months of hire

Preferred:

• California Dispensing Audiologist License
• Experience in various audiology specialties (e.g., evoked potentials, balance function management, tinnitus management, pediatric audiology)
• Proficiency with major hearing aid manufacturers
• Experience supervising audiology students
• Familiarity with insurance billing and patient management software
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
