The role you’ll contribute:
The Senior BI Administrator will collaborate and work with the BI administrative team to deliver technical solutions and provide guidance to team members. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Qlik, and other tools as determined by the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in administering Power BI environments and have a comprehensive understanding of Fabric concepts. This role entails managing Power BI and Fabric infrastructure, with 20% of the time allocated to the hands-on development of data solutions.

·Administer Power BI Environment: Manage and maintain the Power BI environment, including user access, security settings, and workspace configurations.
·Optimize Infrastructure: Utilize Fabric concepts to optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for improved performance and efficiency.
·Monitor and Troubleshoot: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation of Power BI and Fabric systems.
·Hands-on Development: Spend 20% of the time developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
·Data Integration: Integrate Power BI with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
·Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical support.
·Ensure Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures in compliance with organizational policies.
·Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and Fabric technologies.
·Critical-Thinking: Demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring that the solutions are efficient, effective, and sustainable.
·Detail and Accuracy: Paying attention to detail and accuracy to ensure high-quality deliverables, maintaining documentation and records of BI solutions and system configurations.
·Accountability: Taking accountability and responsibility for their work and the team's success, working as a member of the BI Administrators team, and providing direction and guidance.
·Respond to ticket requests, following ITSM policies set at AIT.
·Provide off-hour on-call support as needed to monitor the systems.
·Backup other administrators in the group in supporting other tools used by AIT.
·Develops and shares subject matter expertise/reusable assets with the team
·Participates in team projects as assigned and senior/departmental management meetings.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
·Working knowledge of business intelligence tool architecture like Microsoft Power BI, Oracle, Qlik, Tableau etc. in
·Installation and Configuration
·Security model and adaptability including authentication, LDAP/ security integration and migrations.
·Proven experience in administering Power BI environments and hands-on development of Power BI reports and dashboards.
·Ability to logically analyze and troubleshoot problems, complete root-cause analysis and be engaged in the solutions
·Working knowledge of Windows server including PowerShell scripting
·Working knowledge of Linux / Unix based systems including scripting
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·Cloud Platforms: Experience / knowledge with cloud platforms such as Azure, Snowflake etc.
·BI Tools: Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies like Oracle BI, Tableau, Qlik, AWS etc.
·Certification in Power BI or related technologies is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent of Bachelor degree) or higher in Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or Computer Science or relevant field.
·8 years of experience in Information Technology.
Proven experience in administering Power BI environments and hands-on development of Power BI reports and dashboards.
·Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric concepts and their application in data solutions. Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
