Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Sr. Financial Analyst - Fund Management
Looking for a collaborative environment where you can make an impact on financial reporting and decision making? Join us as we seek a Sr. Financial Analyst. Interact with various teams as a trusted business partner to ensure we are identifying trends and improving business processes.
Role Overview:
- Provide fund management, financial analysis, planning and forecasting which may include consolidation of financial data from various sources, analyzing current and past financial/revenue cycle data & performance
- Translate complex financial data into an understandable format for a variety of audiences including physician scientist and principle investigators
- Identify trends in fund spending, and financial/revenue cycle performance and provide variance explanations & recommendations for improvement
- Build complex financial models and/or forecasting, benchmarking and processing analysis
- Develop research budgets and support grant proposals
- Ensure compliance with institutional and governmental financial management policies, time and effort reporting/ certification, subaward invoicing and other applicable fund management activities
- Develop ad hoc reports to support the needs of leadership teams
- Lead and/or assist in projects that require finance support and/or guidance
- Mentor and provide guidance to others across MSK, as well as junior analysts
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field
- 4 + years of finance, accounting, investment banking or related experience, healthcare preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills
- Fund management experience preferred

- A critical thinker with strong understanding of complex key performance indicators
- Self-starter that takes initiative in managing multiple projects independently
- Action-oriented and eager to embrace new challenges
- Skilled in working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding
Additional Information:
- Location: Hybrid (1-2 days on site in NYC)
- Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday
- Reporting To: Director, Financial Operations
- Pay Range: $98,500.00-$157,600.00
