Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group (APMG) is a professional corporation composed of 35 Board certified pathologists covering 11 service locations in 4 counties in California, 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, and 2 in Portland, Oregon.

We are seeking one experienced Pathologists Assistant for our Pathologist located in the San Fernandino Valley/Tarzana area.  The ideal candidate needs to have strong surgical pathology knowledge, be articulate and have exceptional communication skills, and able to provide complete grossing services to the pathologist.

The Pathologists Assistant duties include but are not limited to: performing gross analysis on any type of surgical specimens, complicated and uncomplicated, small biopsies and large resections. Dissect and describe surgical specimens, prepare tissue for histology processing, recognize and describe gross anatomic features of normal and diseased tissues and organs. As well as assist with SOPs, and other CAP/CLIA needs.

Applicants must have a BS with completion of a NACCLS accredited pathologist's assistant program and Pathologists Assistant ASCP certification.

1 year experience in hospital setting preferred.
