HOURS: 8:00am - 5:00pm; Monday - Friday

In this role you will:

Under the general supervision of the Billing Supervisor, the Medical Billing Clerk will be responsible for researching updated address for patient bills and collections of cash.

• Enters patient demographic information into computer system for billing purposes with speed and accuracy.

• Open returned mail from post office when there is undeliverable mail.

• Look up patient in billing systems and electronic medical record systems (EMR) to validate address and/or correct insurance billing information.

• Gather updated patient address information

• Create ticket to ensure patient information is being updated in the EMR.

• Mail out statements with updated addresses.

• Achieves departmental production, quality, and customer service standards.

• Ensures compliance with HIPAA requirements by respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of information relative to patients and clients.

• Completes special projects as assigned.

• Assist team members with various billing tasks as needed.

All you need is:

• HS Diploma/GED

• PC skills with proficiency or knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

• Experience with medical billing/insurance knowledge preferred

Salary minimum to max is $17.00 to $18.00 . Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
