Job Summary:
The Academic Operations & Analytics Manager at AdventHealth University functions as the primary business analyst for the Academic Operations team, focusing on data-driven insights and event-driven processes to support the university's strategic initiatives. This role is essential for enhancing recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts through the collection, analysis, and visualization of real-time data across key performance metrics. The Specialist will design and implement dynamic dashboards, automated reports, and data pipelines to track and respond to evolving trends in academic operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the position will identify and act upon event-driven opportunities for optimizing workflows and improving data collection practices. Additionally, this role includes managing and accessing the effectiveness of academic software systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and governance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in data analytics, real-time reporting, and event driven decision-making, with a proven ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for continuous improvement.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Data Reporting and Analysis Develop, maintain, and distribute detailed reports, interactive dashboards, and presentations that monitor key metrics related to recruitment, enrollment, and retention. Conduct detailed data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that align with recruitment and enrollment objectives.
Collaboration and Process Improvement Partner with the recruitment and retention teams to understand their data needs, offering tailored reporting solutions and insights. Work closely with recruitment teams to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy in recruitment activities including coordination of events and onsite support as needed.
Benchmarking and Predictive Analysis: Incorporate predictive modeling to forecast enrollment trends, retention risks, and recruitment outcomes. Compare institutional data against peer universities or national benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement.
Project Management Collaborate with Academic Operations team to understand data needs and provide customized reports that support overall department goals. Assist in coordinating recruitment-related projects and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are in place to support the success of the projects and events. Lead data-driven projects to improve recruitment, enrollment, and retention processes, managing timelines and resources effectively.
Comprehensive Event Planning Include contingency plans for events, especially those impacted by weather or virtual engagement challenges. Develop a recruitment calendar that highlights high-priority dates, deadlines, and cross-departmental dependencies. Implement event management platform(s) to track invitations, RSVPs, venue details, and follow-up communications.
Data Integration, Quality and Governance: Establish and uphold data governance policies to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of Academic Operations data across all touchpoints. Conduct regular audits of Academic Operations data to ensure the data is complete and accurate, taking corrective actions when discrepancies are identified. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as FERPA and institutional data policies, safeguarding the confidentiality and security of prospective student data.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist in the development and execution of cross-functional projects aimed at improving Academic Operations practices based on data insights, including new student recruitment campaigns and outreach initiatives. Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support various institutional recruitment, admissions and student experience efforts.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
3 in data analysis, reporting, or a similar role
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce Education Cloud
Proficiency with SIS systems, preferably SONIS and/or Workday Student
