The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth DeLand

The role you’ll contribute:  

2/28/22 Performs Radiographic imaging procedures.  Positions, moves, and transports patients. Performs clerical duties. Assists Radiologist in performance of special imaging procedures. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards.  Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. 

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs Radiographic imaging procedures. Positions patient and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards, in a safe, timely manner.
• Processes radiographs, with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Uses computer to enter and access patient information correctly and change procedure status and billing.
• Transports, lifts, moves, and positions patients as needed to properly and safely complete Radiographs, to assist others to and from, as well as within the department or to assist patient movement.
• Moves, positions and manipulates stationary and portable Radiographic equipment in order to safely complete requested procedure. Selects proper technical factors and operates equipment in a safe and effective manner, with proper attention to radiation, electrical and mechanical safety.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:  

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an A.R.R.T. approved Radiographic program.
• Current A.R.R.T. registration and Florida General Radiographer License.
