About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization

Duke University Health System - Patient Revenue Management Office (PRMO) seeks to hire a Service Access Team Leader who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
General Description of the Job Class
Coordinate and participate in clinic service activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
- Assists the Clinic Administrator in the planning of work schedules
- Assists the Clinic Administrator in the planning of duty assignments for PSA and FCC roles
- Coordinate / lead the clerical activities of a shift or workgroup
- Daily monitoring of clinic WQ's (Patient, PB and HB Claim Edits, Appointment Requests, Referrals) to identify trends, provide feedback and coaching to employees to ensure timely account resolution
- Identify operational improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of services provided, communicate opportunities to management.
- Demonstrates competency in PSA and FCC duties and able to provide expert support.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the interview process. Participate in the interview process of new employees; provide feedback for hiring and termination decisions
- Demonstrate the ability to provide support for the clinic/service area(s) investigating issues and act, escalating any urgent issues to the Clinic Administrator or covering Manager/Supervisor
- Assist clinical administrator in new employee onboarding; competency validation checklist completion and departmental orientation check lists of new employees; providing / assigning training, and monitor progress of new employees
- Review revenue cycle related reports to share trends, outcomes, and discuss with clinical administrator and document developmental opportunities
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education
High school diploma required.
Experience
Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
An Associate's degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience.
A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
