Schedule:Full Time
Shift: Days with weekend rotation
Location:Travel within Henderson, Polk, Buncombe and Transylvania Counties. Possibility of Rutherford, McDowell, Madison, Yancy and Haywood Counties.
The role you’ll contribute:
Possibiliy of Rutherford, McDowell, Madison, Yancy and Haywood counties
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Administer treatments, physical agents and physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff Physical Therapist, while adhering to standards of physical medicine practice.
Assist with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability, with collaborative goal of reaching level of maximum performance and functioning.
Observe and evaluate treatment effect, discuss observations with staff Physical Therapist.
Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provide reassessments as per policy and age of patient.
Assist with the formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs; assess effectiveness of patient/family learning.
Discuss observations and treatment plans with Physical Therapist, and modify patient care as directed.
Collaborate with other team members as indicated for timely case conferencing about patient need and/or status.
Participate in educational staff performance improvement in-services. Assist with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff members; participate in guidance and educational programs.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Associate's Degree AA degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
Physical Therapy Assistant
Active American Heart Association BLS
Valid in state Driver’s License with current car insurance
