Kalamazoo, MI - Bronson Healthcare (Bronson) seeks a dynamic and inspirational physician executive with a passion for engaging their colleagues in patient centered care, quality, and safety to serve as its next Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer (CQO) across its growing health system. This individual will be the catalyst to lead enterprise quality to inspire a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence across Bronson. This is a unique opportunity as a member of the senior leadership team to make great impact at one the most respected regional health care systems in the Midwest by advancing the standardization of care, drive for quality, patient and staff safety, and service excellence to the community. This leader will oversee the care continuum including the post acute Bronson Commons, a 100 bed skilled nursing facility; Bronson at Home, which offers home care services including home infusion; and support clinical research efforts across the System.

These outcomes have elevated them as a leading healthcare system across the nation, region, and the state of Michigan. Bronson has recently been named one of the nation's top 15 health systems by Fortune and PINC AI and has received four consecutive Magnet designation for their flagship hospital. Today, Bronson is a four-hospital, $1.5 billion health care system serving patients throughout southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. With over 9,000 employees, more than 1,500 medical staff members, 700 licensed inpatient beds, and 700 employed physicians and providers, the organization is the largest employer and market leading healthcare system in the region.
Reporting to the Chief Physician Executive, the CQO will be the catalyst to lead a system commitment and a positive culture for high quality, safety, and accountability. This leader will advance an environment of clinical excellence across the Enterprise from leadership, clinical care teams, and staff. They will be responsible for driving and implementing performance improvement and sustainable results, informed by best practice. It is critical the CQO establish themselves as a visible, credible individual who is transparent, proactive, and an effective communicator. They must have a genuine and authentic way with people, display active listening skills and be personally invested in the patient and families Bronson serves.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic physician leader, a strong communicator and a passion for quality with an understanding of a complex health care delivery system. This individual will be a decisive leader who can foster relationships and collaboration to bring a systems approach to connect the care continuum. The CQO will have knowledge and training in process improvement, lean methodologies, high reliability systems, change management, and a dedication to utilize data to drive care improvements through process and technology. An MD/DO degree (or equivalent) is required, as well as completion of a postgraduate medical education in an ACGME-accredited residency program with current Board Certification in their specialty.
