The Muma Children's Hospital Child Life team at Tampa General Hospital is growing!  We are currently seeking candidates for 2 CCLS positions:  Pediatric Day Hospital & Pediatric Med Surg

The Child Life Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities designed to reduce stress caused by hospitalization, considering normal human development and the impact that illness, injury, disability, and hospitalization have on this process. The Child Life Specialist will provide programming, including preoperative teaching, diversion activities, procedural support, and developmental play therapy. 

The Child Life team supports pediatric services in all areas of the Muma Children's Hospital at TGH:  Med Surg, PICU, Pediatric Day Hospital, Pediatric ED, Pedi OR/Procedural areas. 

Graduate from an approved university with a Bachelor's degree in Child Life

Certification or eligibility for Certified Child Life Specialist
