Provides accurate evaluation of cytologic samples for the diagnosis of cancer and certain other disease processes according to established procedures and standards. Provides results and communicates data to the appropriate persons.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelors' degree preferred, Associates of Science degree required, along with the completion of an accredited Cytology program.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: CT (ASCP) or equivalent certification
SKILLS:. Must have effective teaching skills, problem solving skills, decision-making skills, communication skills, cytology identification and interpretation skills. Must read and write English.
EXPERIENCE: Prefer one year of cytology experience
