Cardiologist Opportunity – Wilmington, DE VAMC – Up to 55 Days off Annually

The Wilmington, Delaware VA Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Cardiologist to join the VA team. Your duties will include treat and manage patients who have illnesses related to General Cardiology and Supplemental Cardiac procedures. The applicant will provide comprehensive care to include diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and education of patients with Cardiac conditions. Clinical duties will include diagnosing, treating, and managing patients referred for management of Cardiac disorders including:
Core Cardiology Procedures
Cardiac stress testing
Cardioversion
Echocardiogram interpretation
Holter monitor interpretation.
Pericardiocentesis (emergency)
Temporary transvenous pacemaker placement
Tilt table testing
Use of thrombolytic agents
Final Interpretation of EKGs
Fluoroscopy
Supplemental Cardiology Procedures
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) with interpretation
TEE with cardioversion
Nuclear cardiology studies
Coronary CTA
Administration and management of Gp IIb/IIIa, vasoactive, and thrombolytic agents
The Cardiologist (Non-Invasive) will be a vital part of the Wilmington, DE VA Healthcare System and will provide outpatient and inpatient consultative service.
Office Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday. On-Call as needed
