The incumbent is responsible to organize, manage and track OR scheduling, coordinate reallocation and maximize the utilization of block time with the responsibility to maximize use of the block time, initiate dropping of charges and tracking/follow-up for charge reconciliation in the Periop Service. The individual will ensure cases are scheduled correctly, fit within the allocated time, check for accuracy in scheduling, check for conflicts and consolidate rooms as much as possible.
This position will work at all UCSF locations. Will help to cover other ASC locations as assigned.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $101,600 - $157,500 (Annual Rate).
The Orthopaedic Institute is located at 1500 Owens Street and consists of 5 OR's and 2 Procedure Rooms. Outpatient surgeries are performed in a highly functional and efficient center. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Minimum 6 months demonstrated organizational skills to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities with periop administration.
2 years' experience as OR Resource Coordinator or 5 years current experience as an Op Time super user and surgery scheduler.
This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Functions as a contributing member of a team in individual practice sites as well as at the Departmental level.
Competent at representing department at high level meetings with Department Chair and Chiefs of Service.
APEX: OPTIME trained or similar surgery scheduling experience.
UCSF Surgery Scheduling Experience or similar surgery scheduling experience.
Demonstrated competence in MS Office: Word, and Outlook.
Ability to positively influence behavior of others without direct supervisory authority.
Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated competence in Excel. Must be well versed in Excel applications.
Analytical and statistical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in conflict management and facilitation.
Experience as a trainer.
