The Outpatient Injection Infusion Oncology Nurse Manager is responsible for the direct oversight and management of personnel assigned to the Outpatient Injection Infusion services department. This position is responsible for all aspects of daily infusion services operations, assuring provision of care to patients by utilizing the nursing processes, ensuring that quality and regulatory requirements are consistently met. The Nurse Manager is a working manager who must be proficient in chemotherapy administration, IV insertions, PICC line and port management, phlebotomy, blood transfusions, and performing nursing H&P/assessment. Collaborates with Oncology Medical Director, Director of Outpatient Services, and all members of the Oncology Service line, serving as liaison between staff and outside departments/providers to ensure employee and patient needs are met. Uses principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with members of the healthcare team. Must possess a high degree of self-motivation and directional initiative with ability to function successfully independently.
Qualifications:
- Nebraska RN licensure required
- 4 years nursing experience required, prefer experience in infusion, oncology and/or wound care
- ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider card required within 3 months of hire
- BLS and ACLS preferred
