Plans, organizes and directs the Outpatient and Inpatient Therapy programs in accordance with the OccupationalTherapy Practice Act, Speech Language Pathology Practice Act, Physical Therapy Practice Act, and the Medical Practice Act depending on the given situation. Supervises department personnel and all functions.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Exercises complex analytical judgment on work to be done.
Qualifications
Education
Certification of completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Bachelor degree X Required
Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. Three years experience in field of Occupational, Physical or Speech Therapy required.
Licenses: Licensed and Registered Therapist through Texas State Board.
Five years supervisory experience preferred in field of registry.
