Summary:
The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
Requirements:
A.Education/Skills
?Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
B.Experience
?1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
? Required 3 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical.
C.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
?BLS required
?RN License in state of employment or compact
? Current PALS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs
? Current ACLS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs
? Current TNCC and ENPC certification within 12 months of hire for experienced RNs
? Moderate Sedation within 3 months of hire for experienced RNs
? Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification
? Arrhythmia recognition within 8 weeks of hire
? Current NIHSS certification at time of hire or within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs
