Role Purpose
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and an Emergency Room (ER) Physician, the Paramedic - ED/Ambulatory provides patient care support services, in compliance with Hospital and Patient Care Services policies and protocols for ER Triage in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
Performs routine equipment function tests and calibrations.
Supports and assists with the delivery of patient care.
Performs invasive procedures, as directed by the RN or Physician.
Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of patient care equipment.
Assists with the inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring adequate supply levels.
