Position Summary
This role is responsible for the QC reviewing of analytical chemistry data. This role will be data review 75%-100% of the time on multiple data packets in a fast-paced environment. There is a possible opportunity to be in the lab performing analytical chemistry (HPLC, UV/VIS spectrophotometry) work in addition to the review work.
Candidates given best consideration will have the following qualifications:
Previous experience with QC review work
Experience with HPLC and UV/VIS spectrophotometry
Experience with GLP regulations
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask/be efficient in a fast-paced environment
The essential job duties are:
Performs QC review of data.
Organizes and conducts routine analyses in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines
Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records
Evaluates data for report preparation and experiment modification as directed.
Plans individual workload in coordination with team member
Assists in writing text for reports, methods or protocols
Provides input and participates in project meetings, plans, monitors and guides project work
Informs Study Director, Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data and participates in corrective action of problems
Assists in setting up and performing method development and validation of various analytes in a variety of matrices
Participates in process improvement initiatives
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience
Bachelor?s in chemistry strongly preferred or Life Sciences degree
GLP experience is preferred
HPLC and UV/VIS spectrophotometry preferred
Experience with QC review
