The community you’ll be caring for: Physical Therapy Patients
Location: 351 N Orlando Ave Winter Park, FL 32789. Will travel for events as needed.
The role you’ll contribute:
When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.
As a Massage Therapist with AdventHealth Sports Med and Rehab, you will provide direct and indirect massage services to patients in the outpatient sports medicine and rehab setting. You will be a champion for outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. You will participate in local and in-house events, providing massage services to athletes and AdventHealth team members.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques.
Establishes implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency).
Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payor guidelines.
Charges patients accurately and timely according to insurance guidelines.
Provides appropriate documentation of all proceedings to ensure program quality and meet hospital and department standards. Also records additional pertinent information such as medical history in notes and other appropriate forms at time of occurrence.
The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
More than 1 year providing massage therapy in a licensed environment.
Experience in medical, sports, garston, post-surgery, lymphedema and deep tissue massage.
Licensed in the State of Florida as a Massage Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Able to successfully build a caseload in personal business or in an office setting -PREFERRED
