Program details: The Physician Assistant Neonatal Post-Graduate Training Program
The Physician Assistant Neonatal Post-Graduate Training Program with Pediatrix Neonatology of San Antonio is a 12-month intensive program designed for graduate physician assistants (PAs) seeking to subspecialize in neonatology. This program provides PAs with the crucial skills needed to deliver comprehensive, team-based care for high-risk and convalescing newborns. The program runs 12-months and includes:
Mentoring
Didactic teaching
Simulations
Skills training
Clinical experiences
Pediatrix Medical Group of San Antonio:
The group provides a full range of newborn/neonatal care in three inner-city hospital systems with multiple Level-II and Level-III+ NICUs
The medical community includes a wide range of mother and infant subspecialists supported by two childrenâ™s hospitals for this growing South Texas area
Responsibilities include managing and facilitating comprehensive neonatal care including programs for HFOV, nitric oxide and ECMO

Qualifications
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program
Must be a NCPPA Certified PA prior to matriculating
Must attain licensure as a PA in TX prior to matriculating
