The Coder, Sr Account Manager serves as the senior member of the Revenue Cycle coding team. Direct responsibilities include: reviews daily EPIC work queues and reports status of inpatient and outpatient accounts trending data and predicting fluctuations in A/R for both inpatient and outpatient accounts; performs the function of coding, DRG assignment, collection of predefined indicators and abstracting medical records; knowledgeable of the revenue cycle, CMS guidelines, ICD guidelines, LCDs & CMS NCD policies; CHF Task Force, MI, mortality, sepsis & other quality reviews; bi-monthly audits on selected DRGs; performs internal audits on Sr coding team SMART reviews Consolidated Error Report.
