Nurse Manager (Primary Care)
The Nurse Manager (NM) functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. The NM is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the 24/7 operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other NMs as needed. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
