The hours of operation for the Cardiology practice are Monday-Friday, 7am -5:30pm. Your primary schedule will be during those hours, with periodic need to work outside your schedule to serve our patients. What does a Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer Tech do? This position is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, including two-dimensional echo, pulse wave and continuous wave Doppler, color flow Doppler, and stress echocardiography. What does a typical day on the job look like? Produces high quality imaging by accurately performing all modalities of cardiac ultrasound. Prepares and correctly assesses imaging data, by taking precise and accurate calculations and valvular measurements. Assists in helping the practice maintain ICACL accreditation by preparing data and/or creating reports as needed. Proficient at IV insertion and management. What are the requirements for the job? Graduate of a cardiac sonography accredited training program 1-2 years echocardiography and stress echo clinical experience, required. Carotid Ultrasonography experience preferred. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Adult Cardiac Imaging. Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association. Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
