How you will be rewarded:

• Pay range: $24/hr.-$25/hr.

• Work Hours: 1st shift - M-F 6:30am-3:15pm for the first three months (After 3 months, shifts are flexible, including options for a 4 day a week/ 10 hour per day schedule).

• Holiday and overtime with supplementary compensation.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure animals are cared for according to regulatory guidelines and ethical principles.

• Perform animal husbandry duties as needed.

• Report and resolve animal care concerns.

• Interpret and understand complex protocols.

• Adhere to good research practices (GXP) principles.

• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with protocols and regulations.

• Perform various medical procedures on multiple species.

• Conduct aseptic surgical preparation, anesthesia, and surgical procedures.

• Support other departments with study-related tasks.

• Train and mentor staff.

• Contribute to process improvements and updates.

• Review SOPs and develop new procedures.

• Identify and communicate gaps for potential improvements.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

• 1 year of relevant experience.

• Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology, or Veterinary Technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years of applicable experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.

• AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) level.
