The College of Health and Human Services prepares students to become skilled professionals who enhance individuals, families, and communities' health, well-being, and quality of life. The CHHS has a 1:14 faculty-to-student ratio, with 123 full-time faculty and staff and 1,900 students. Internships, fieldwork, and clinical experiences are offered in 100 percent of the College’s programs. The CHHS offers 21 undergraduate and graduate degrees in state-of-the-art learning environments, conferencing, laboratories, and simulation and classroom spaces. The CHHS includes the departments of Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation; Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport; Nursing; and Social Work.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in a discipline relevant to the College’s focus areas and the qualifications necessary to hold an academic appointment as a full professor with tenure in a department or school in the College of Health and Human Services. Additionally, candidates should have a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; a successful record in academic administration, including budget management, personnel oversight, recruitment, retention, and strategic planning; the ability to cultivate relationships in diverse disciplines to achieve forward-thinking short and long-range goals and adapt to changing educational landscapes; demonstrated success in fostering academic innovation to support active and inclusive learning; a track record of successfully navigating accreditation processes and promoting continuous improvement; a commitment to cultivating relationships with alumni, donors, and industry partners to secure resources for college initiatives; knowledge of current industry trends, professional standards, and career pathways for graduates of health and human services programs; experience developing or expanding experiential learning, career-ready opportunities, and clinical placement for students; experience recruiting, managing, and inspiring faculty and staff toward shared goals and professional growth; a demonstrated ability to foster faculty research, interdisciplinary projects, and scholarly productivity within the College; and, strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse constituencies within and outside the College.
