JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Human Centered Design team, you'll wear a number of hats and will craft new processes that will enable the design team to run more smoothly. We are looking for a resourceful self-starter with an operational mindset and experience in UX design.
If this sounds like you and you're excited about enabling a high horse-power design team at the forefront of healthcare to develop its experimentation muscle, you could be a great fit for our design ops team.
As a Design Ops Lead, you will report into the Head of Human Centered Design and work closely with the Head of Customer Research and Testing and other partners across design and research. A few examples of what you'll be responsible for:
? Managing the design backlog and caring for design priorities, tracking design timelines and scopes and removing design bottlenecks and barriers ? Working closely with research ops to track research studies across the portfolio and aligning insights to design efforts ? Working with design leadership to plan for upcoming work, prioritize opportunities, and scope, kick off, and socialize design initiatives ? Developing, benchmarking, analyzing, and tracking key team-wide OKRs and metrics to measure improvement over time ? Managing contract renewals for all design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe, etc.) ? Creating playbooks and documenting frameworks and best practices ? Leading Figma management - including access and seats, standardization of project spaces, file storage, and the scaling and use of the Nightingale Design System ? Onboarding new team members to the HCD team ? Establish mechanisms, education, and training to increase visibility of HCD including service design, product design, and content design across the enterprise and to executive leadership
You'll make an impact by: ? Solving problems big and small with curiosity and patience ? Creating optimal, scalable processes (that can be flexible when needed) that drive quality and efficiency ? Anticipating and caring for team challenges as they arise by conducting ongoing internal research to understand evolving design team needs ? Caring for team rituals that strengthen our design community ? Driving alignment and collaboration across design workstreams and cross-functional partners including research, product, engineering, and marketing
You'll sweep us off our feet if: ? You have a deep understanding and love for UX design ? You have experience supporting a UX design practice in a large organization ? You are a Figma expert ? You're a process nerd who is energized by addressing friction in the UX design process and enjoys jumping into the weeds of day-to-day design activity ? You are driven by empathy and motivated by the opportunity to impact the day-to-day experience of designers ? You collaborate naturally, operate independently, and are comfortable giving and receiving feedback ? You produce great work with quick turnarounds and multitask effectively across different activities ? You are highly organized and have great attention to detail ? You enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment ? You're excited by the prospect of supporting the teams that are directly shaping the future of healthcare
